Book a COVID-19 Antibody Test
**Appointments required for COVID-19 antibody tests**
We accept most insurance plans (PPOs, Medicare, and the Advocate hospital system HMO) and provide FREE care to uninsured patients under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. If you have Medicaid, or an insurance we do not accept, you may self-pay $250 for the examination and COVID-19 test.
Evaluation and bloodwork on-site
Upon arrival, you will be evaluated in our outdoor testing area (while still in your car, or in our medical tent if you do not drive). After your evaluation, you will be directed inside for your sterile blood draw. Please note, everyone inside the blood draw area has been screened to ensure they do not have symptoms of COVID-19. You may schedule this visit online or simply walk-in at your convenience.
COVID-19 Antibody Test FAQ
Innovative Express Care uses the Abbott serology test to look for IgG antibodies in the blood. The presence of IgG antibodies suggests that you may have already encountered the COVID-19 virus. The test is available to anyone who is well and has not had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Insurance is accepted.
The COVID-19 antibody test is a simple blood draw. We then send the sample to our lab and will have results usually in 6-7 days. (Previously, 4-5 days but due to a nationwide issue backed up to 6-7 days).
Patients who are tested and have the antibodies can use this information in a variety of ways. The risk of getting COVID-19 a second time is low. Individuals who are elderly or have underlying health conditions will benefit from understanding their risk so they can make informed decisions about how much isolation or socialization to resume. The COVID-19 antibody test will also provide important data on the scale of coronavirus infections in our community.
This test has been authorized for Emergency Usage by the FDA.*
Innovative Express Care charges your insurance for the visit. We submit 99204 or 99203 for your provider visit. Quest Diagnostics Lab submits the code 86328. The diagnosis code is: Z03.818.
Patients who are uninsured may receive care under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which provides COVID-19 care at no cost to the individual.
