Book a COVID-19 Swab Virus Test
**Appointments are Required for Testing**
COVID-19 virus testing at Innovative Express Care is fast and easy. We offer virus testing 7 days/week. An appointment is required. We realize that appointments book quickly, so additional time slots will be released by 8:00am each morning (160/day) to accommodate patients who need a same-day appointment.
Will you take my insurance?
We accept most insurance plans (PPOs, Medicare, and the Advocate hospital system HMO) and provide FREE care to uninsured patients under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. If you have Medicaid, or an insurance we do not accept, you may self-pay $250 for the examination and COVID-19 test.
When will I get my test results?
We offer both virus swab tests and Rapid COVID-19 tests. Virus swab tests are sent to a Northwestern lab and results will be available in approximately 6-7 days. (Previously, 4-5 days but due to a nationwide issue backed up to 6-7 days). Rapid test results will be available by 8 PM on the same day of the test.
The Rapid COVID-19 test (Sofia SARS-CoV-2 antigen FIA by Quidel) is available by request, but at an additional charge. A swab test is always performed along with the rapid test for quality standards. Rapid tests will be resulted to you on the same day you get the test. For more information, visit our rapid testing page.
Schedule an appointment
If there are no appointments available, it means we are at capacity. Please continue to check back for openings. Additional appointments are released by 8:00am each morning (160/day) to accommodate patients who need a same-day visit.
